“Geographical Dictation” is an international education initiative that continues to achieve new heights. The thousandth location joined the tenth anniversary “Dictation.”
Partner Russian culture centre "Rusich World" in Thailand was the first organisation to join the anniversary "Dictation." Pavlovka State Children's Home in Krasnoyarsk Krai (Siberia) became the thousandth. This is encouraging evidence of the increasing popularity of dictation both internationally and in Russia.
The extraordinary extent to which "Dictation - 2024" has proliferated is demonstrated by the fact that registration applications for the initiative have already been received from 84 Russian regions and 24 foreign countries, including Afghanistan, Austria, Belarus, China, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, India, Laos, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Namibia, Rumania, South Ossetia, Tadzhikistan, Thailand, UAE, Venezuela and Vietnam.
Special rewards were created for those who became the first, thousandth, fifth, and tenth thousand venue in honour of the initiative's anniversary year. Additionally, a "Dictation" anniversary flag will be given to each venue.
The participants will have the opportunity to master the "Dictation's" tasks this year at the following locations and organisations: the Railway History Museum at the Oryol train station (Oryol Oblast); the Sled Dog Training Centre "Katun Star" (Altai Krai); the television studios of the channel "Arkhyz 24" (Karachay-Cherkess Republic); the Steamboat-Museum "St. Nikolai" (Krasnoyarsk Krai); and the History Park "Russia – my story" (Republic of Dagestan).
